About Sara Holtz

Sara Holtz helps successful women lawyers become rainmakers.

Since 1997, Sara Holtz has trained and coached thousands of women lawyers from leading law firms in the U.S. and Canada to help them grow their practices.  Her extensive roster of satisfied clients demonstrates the value of her practical, results-oriented approach to developing a book of business.

Sara Holtz literally wrote the book on rainmaking for women lawyers: Bringin’ in the Rain: A Woman Lawyer’s Guide to Business Development.  She created the Women Rainmakers Roundtable, which is widely viewed as the "gold standard" in business development training for women lawyers.  She received the American Bar Association’s prestigious Margaret Brent Women Lawyers of Achievement Award in recognition of the impact her work has had on the success of women lawyers.

Her expertise has been featured in articles in The American Lawyer, ABA Journal, Litigation Magazine, Law Practice, and many other publications.  She has done presentations for the American Bar Association and the National Association of Women Lawyers, as well as programs for Harvard Law School, Boalt Hall, Northwestern Law School, Hastings Law School Leadership Academy for Women, the Diversity and Flexibility Alliance, and many other organizations.

Prior to founding ClientFocus, Sara Holtz served as Vice President and General Counsel for Nestlé Beverage Company and Division Counsel for the Clorox Company.  The first woman ever to chair the Association of Corporate Counsel, Sara was honored by the State Bar of California for outstanding leadership of the in-house legal community.
